In this collection, Curtis re-visits motifs from 40 years as a prolific artist and organized them newly as a set. She conceived the idea in the summer of 2009 and completed the last work January 2011.
Curtis remarks that through her art she is “grasping for a deeper understanding” and in this series she has titles like Becoming, Unknown and Abundance. The new paintings are large and bold. They reflect her unmistakable style of whimsical figures and bright colors.
