Which Hat? is a show depicting our angst over getting it right. Surely there is a right hat and a right fence. If is a big drama. The characters that play in this show are in an existential dilemma. Did I come here to save people? Save animals? Save the planet? Will it be enough to keep everyone happy and well? Perhaps I have the world on a string? I can free float and not question where or why. Or am I the lady on a seesaw who is juggling and assessing, this not that? Surely some divine hand will have her know what is the right way. Am I the man with his head pressed to the ground with nowhere to go? The title piece has a posture borrowed from Chagall with his head to the ground in the struggle to find the hat. That is the right hat. But was it the right fence?
